PRIVACY POLICY– CHECK PRESS
This Privacy Policy describes how users' personal data is collected, used, and protected within the Check Press mobile application, designed for recording blood pressure values voluntarily entered by the user (hereinafter "Application").
1. Entities’ Identification
The Check Press Application is owned by the Portuguese Hypertension Society, with the support of the Tecnimede Group, and was developed by Float Publicidade, Lda.
2. Legal Framework
The processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 (General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR), as well as with applicable national legislation.
3. Personal Data Collected
The Application collects and processes the following personal data, exclusively:
- Username;
- User email;
- Password (securely stored and encrypted);
- Blood pressure records, voluntarily entered by the user (and stored
exclusively for viewing by the user, not being analyzed or processed).
4. Purpose of Data Processing
Personal data is processed for:
- Allowing the creation and management of the user account;
- Storing and displaying the history of blood pressure measurements;
- Ensuring the correct functioning of the Check Press Application.
It should be noted that the Application is for informational and personal record-keeping purposes only and does not replace medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
5. Data Storage
Personal data is stored in a cloud environment, using secure infrastructures that meet best practices for information security and personal data protection.
6. Legal Basis
The processing of personal data is based on:
- the consent of the data subject who enters the data into the Application;
- the necessity for the execution of the contract signed with the user,
according to the terms of use of the Application.
7. Data Preservation
Personal data is kept only for the period necessary to achieve the purposes described or while the user's account remains active.
8. Data Subject Rights
Under applicable law, the user has the right to:
- Access your personal data;
- Request the correction or updating of your data;
- Request the erasure of your data (“right to be forgotten”);
- Withdraw your consent at any time;
- Request the restriction of or objection to the processing of your data.
9. Data Security
Float Publicidade, Lda. adopts appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, or improper disclosure.
10. Data Sharing
Personal data is not shared with third parties, except when required by law.
11. Changes to the Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated at any time. Any relevant changes will be communicated through the Check Press Application.
