TERMS AND CONDITIONS – CHECK PRESS

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the Check Press mobile application, intended for recording blood pressure values voluntarily entered by the user (hereinafter “Application”).

1. Identification

The Check Press Application is owned by the Portuguese Society of Hypertension, with the support of the Tecnimede Group, and was developed by Float Publicidade, Lda.

2. Purpose

The Application is intended exclusively for recording and storing blood pressure readings entered by the user, and does not, under any circumstances, replace medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.

3. Conditions of Use

Use of the Application is conditional upon full access to these Terms and Conditions. The Check Press Application is not intended for minors. Only users aged 18 or older may create an account and use the Application. The user agrees to provide truthful information and maintain the confidentiality of their access credentials.

4. Responsibility

The Application is for informational and recording purposes only. Float Publicidade, Lda. does not guarantee the accuracy, integrity, or timeliness of the data entered by the user, nor is it responsible for any decisions, actions, or omissions based on the information recorded in the Application. The user should always consult a qualified healthcare professional.

5. Scientific Basis

All tips, medical recommendations, and blood pressure value classification criteria used in the Application are based on internationally recognized clinical guidelines, validated by the Portuguese Society of Hypertension, namely:

  • American Heart Association (AHA) – 2017 Guideline for Prevention,

Detection, Assessment, and Treatment of High Blood Pressure in Adults;

  • European Society of Cardiology (ESC) / European Society of

Hypertension (ESH) – 2018 Guidelines for the Treatment of High Blood Pressure. The information provided is aligned with the scientific guidelines in effect at the time the Application was developed. For more information, the user can consult the official documents available at the links above.

6. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights relating to the Check Press Application, including content, design and features, belong to Float Publicidade, Lda., unless otherwise indicated.

7. Data Protection

The processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with the terms described in the Check Press Application Privacy Policy.

8. Suspension or Termination

Float Publicidade, Lda. reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to the Application, in whole or in part, whenever necessary, especially for technical or legal reasons.

9. Amendments

Float Publicidade, Lda. may amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Amendments will take effect upon publication in the Check Press Application.

10. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by Portuguese law. The court of the district where the developer's headquarters are located shall have exclusive jurisdiction to resolve any disputes, with express waiver of any other jurisdiction.
